IMPORTANT REGULATORY NOTICE: CanDrive is an independent automotive cost analytical platform and is not a registered insurance broker, agency, managing general agent, or underwriter under the Registered Insurance Brokers Act (Ontario) or the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRAO).
All insurance risk scores, estimated insurance quotes, and vehicle comparative rankings displayed on CanDrive are purely informational estimates derived from actuarial risk models published by the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC). They do not constitute an official insurance quotation, binder, guarantee of coverage, or formal underwriting commitment. Actual insurance premiums are determined solely by licensed Canadian insurers based on your individual driving history, postal code, coverage choices, and credit/claims record.
3Data Sources & Calculation Accuracy
CanDrive consolidates information from reputable public and commercial sources, including:
- Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC): "How Cars Measure Up" actuarial collision, injury, and theft claims database.
- Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) & EPA: Comprehensive Canadian fuel consumption and energy efficiency test reports.
- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA): Government vehicle recall registries and safety bulletins.
- Canadian Automotive Market Data (MarketCheck): Regional pricing analytics and active dealership listing aggregations.
While we make reasonable efforts to maintain up-to-date and accurate calculations, automotive specifications, energy prices, and dealership list prices fluctuate. All figures are presented on an "as-is" basis for informational estimation purposes only.

5Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Ontario law and the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario), CanDrive and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or reliance upon any estimates, scores, pricing data, or automotive metrics provided on this site.
